Matilda did not join the rush to get out of the classroom.
마틸다는 교실을 빠져나가는 아이들의 행렬에 합류하지 않았다.
After the other children had all disappeared, she remained at her desk, quiet and thoughtful.
다른 아이들이 모두 사라진 뒤에도 그녀는 책상에 앉아 조용히 생각에 잠겨 있었다.

Bottled up은 감정이나 비밀 등을 밖으로 드러내지 않고 억누르다 혹은 가두어 두다라는 뜻의 표현입니다.
What she needed was just one person, one wise and sympathetic grown-up who could help her to understand the meaning of this extraordinary happening.
그녀에게 필요한 사람은 단 한 명, 이 기이한 일이 무엇을 의미하는지 이해할 수 있도록 도와줄 현명하고 공감 능력 있는 어른이었다.

이제 교실에 남은 사람은 마틸다와 허니 선생님뿐이었다.
Miss Honey had seated herself at her table and was riffling through some papers.
허니 선생님은 교탁에 앉아 서류 뭉치를 훑어보고 있었다.
Riffling은 책장이나 서류 등을 빠르게 넘기다 혹은 훑어보다라는 뜻입니다.
