“So I heard,” Isaac said, trying not to let it get to him.
“그렇다더군.” 아이작은 감정에 휩쓸리지 않으려 애쓰며 말했다.
He fumbled toward Gus’s hand and found only his thigh. “I’m taken,” Gus said.
그가 거스의 손을 찾으려 더듬거리다 허벅지를 짚었다. “나 임자 있는 몸이야.” 거스가 말했다.
Isaac’s mom brought over two dining room chairs, and Isaac and I sat down next to Gus.
아이작의 엄마가 식탁 의자 두 개를 가져왔고, 아이작과 나는 거스 옆에 나란히 앉았다.

“카드도, 이메일도 없어. 이메일 읽어주는 기계를 샀는데, 진짜 끝내주더라.”
I can change the voice’s gender or accent or whatever.”
“목소리 성별이나 억양 같은 걸 마음대로 바꿀 수 있거든.”
“So I can like send you a porn story and you can have an old German man read it to you?” “Exactly,” Isaac said.
“그럼 내가 야설 같은 거 보내주면 독일 할아버지가 읽어주게 할 수도 있는 거야?” “당연하지.” 아이작이 대답했다.
“Although Mom still has to help me with it, so maybe hold off on the German porno for a week or two.”
“근데 아직은 엄마가 도와주셔야 하니까, 독일 야설은 한 1, 2주 정도 뒤에나 보내줘.”
