새로운 날인 4월 6일의 기록입니다. 안네는 이날 자신의 다양한 취미와 관심사에 대해 조목조목 들려주는군요.

but I'd better warn you, I have lots of them, so don't be surprised.
하지만 미리 경고해두는데, 너무 많아서 깜짝 놀랄지도 몰라.
First of all: writing, but I don't really think of that as a hobby. Number two: genealogical charts.
우선 첫 번째는 글쓰기인데, 난 이걸 취미라고 생각하진 않아. 두 번째는 가계도 만들기야.
genealogical charts(가계도) 만들기는 안네가 은신처에서 몰두했던 독특한 취미 중 하나입니다. 복잡한 유럽 왕실의 족보를 정리하며 단조롭고 불안한 일상을 견뎌내려 노력한 것으로 보입니다.
I'm looking in every newspaper, book and document I can find for the family trees
난 구할 수 있는 모든 신문과 책, 서류를 뒤져서 왕실 가계도를 찾고 있어.
of the French, German, Spanish, English, Austrian, Russian, Norwegian and Dutch royal families.
프랑스, 독일, 스페인, 영국, 오스트리아, 러시아, 노르웨이, 그리고 네덜란드 왕실의 족보를 말이야.
I've made great progress with many of them, because for a long time I've been taking notes while reading biographies or history books.
꽤 많이 알아냈어. 오랫동안 전기나 역사 책을 읽으면서 꼼꼼히 메모를 해왔거든.
I even copy out many of the passages on history. So my third hobby is history, and Father's already bought me numerous books.
역사 책의 구절들을 통째로 베껴 쓰기도 해. 그래서 내 세 번째 취미는 역사야. 아빠가 벌써 역사 책을 여러 권 사주셨지.
