Jee crawling hova는 Jesus Jehovah(여호와 하나님)를 아이들이 장난스럽게 비튼 감탄사입니다.

“나 지금 진심이야, 스카우트. 너 고모를 화나게 하면 내가— 내가 엉덩이를 때려줄 테니까.”

morphodite는 hermaphrodite(자웅동체)의 오기로, 앞서 8장에서 젬이 만든 눈사람을 보고 모디 아주머니가 썼던 표현입니다. 스카우트는 뜻도 정확히 모른 채 그저 아주 센 욕이라고 생각하고 쓰는 모양입니다.
