“Homer,” she said to her husband, “I am going to give that pig a buttermilk bath.”

buttermilk(버터밀크)는 버터를 만들고 남은 액체입니다. 피부 세정 효과가 있어 과거에는 목욕제로 활용되기도 했습니다.
“A what?” said Mr. Zuckerman. “A buttermilk bath. My grandmother used to bathe her pig with buttermilk when it got dirty—I just remembered.”
“뭘 시킨다고요?” 저커먼 씨가 묻자 아주머니가 대답했어요. “버터밀크 목욕요. 돼지가 더러워지면 우리 할머니가 버터밀크로 목욕을 시키곤 하셨던 게 방금 생각났거든요.”
