So the animals trooped down to the hayfield to begin the harvest,

and when they came back in the evening it was noticed that the milk had disappeared.

이제 3장으로 이야기가 전환됩니다. 반란 이후 맞이하는 첫 번째 건초 수확과 함께, 동물들이 농장을 관리하며 겪는 변화들을 다룹니다.
HOW they toiled and sweated to get the hay in! But their efforts were rewarded, for the harvest was an even bigger success than they had hoped.
건초를 들여오는 작업은 정말이지 고되고 땀나는 일이었다! 하지만 그들의 노력은 헛되지 않았으니, 수확은 기대했던 것보다 훨씬 더 성공적이었다.
Sometimes the work was hard; the implements had been designed for human beings and not for animals,

and it was a great drawback that no animal was able to use any tool that involved standing on his hind legs.
