“Mum!” Conor yelled, feeling too heavy to stand, as he did every time the nightmare began.

“You have to get out of here!” His mum didn’t move, though she looked a little worried at what he’d said.
“여기서 나가야 해!” 엄마는 움직이지 않았다. 다만 코너의 외침에 조금 걱정스러운 기색을 보였을 뿐이었다.
Conor dragged himself forward, straining at the effort. “Mum, you have to run!”
코너는 안간힘을 다해 몸을 끌어당기며 앞으로 나아갔다. “엄마, 도망쳐!”
“I’m fine, darling,” she said. “There’s nothing to worry about.” “Mum, run! Please, run!”
“난 괜찮아, 아가.” 엄마가 말했다. “걱정할 거 없단다.” “엄마, 도망쳐! 제발, 도망치라고!”
“But darling, there’s–” She stopped and turned back to the cliff’s edge, as if she’d heard something.
“하지만 아가, 저기—” 엄마는 말을 멈추고 무언가 소리를 들은 듯 다시 절벽 끝으로 고개를 돌렸다.
“No,” Conor whispered to himself. He pulled himself forward some more, but she was too far,
‘안 돼.’ 코너가 나직이 읊조렸다. 그는 필사적으로 몸을 앞으로 끌어당겼지만 엄마는 너무 멀리 있었다.
